4-4-2015 Mayflower Bocawina National Park

The road to Mayflower Bocawina National Park

We decided to hike to Antelope Falls, even though we heard there was a ropes section.

First you cross a river.

Unexcavated Mayan ruins

This little guy didn't seem too afraid of me.

One leg back, showing me his orange belly.

He then walked toward me before zipping off into the jungle.

After the falls we checked out the small Mayan ruins at the park.

The ruins are mostly un-excavated, like this.

More leaf cutter ants were crawling in and out of this.

We missed the spur trails to the stela, but the trail looped back to the beginning.

Good bye for now, Mayflower Bocawina National Park.  We'll be back.
