The road to Mayflower Bocawina National Park |
We decided to hike to Antelope Falls, even though we heard there was a ropes section. |
First you cross a river. |
Leaf cutter ants |
Unexcavated Mayan ruins |
This little guy didn't seem too afraid of me. |
One leg back, showing me his orange belly. |
He then walked toward me before zipping off into the jungle. |
Antelope Falls |
The start of the ropes section. |
The view from the top of Antelope Falls |
Lindsey and Cara in the refreshing swimming pool at the top of Antelope Falls. |
After the falls we checked out the small Mayan ruins at the park. |
The ruins are mostly un-excavated, like this. |
More leaf cutter ants were crawling in and out of this. |
We missed the spur trails to the stela, but the trail looped back to the beginning. |
Good bye for now, Mayflower Bocawina National Park. We'll be back. |
