10-10-2015 Drove from Hopkins to Belize City then took a boat to San Pedro on the island of Ambergris Caye

On Saturday 10-10-2015 we took off from Hopkins at about 8:30 and headed towards Belize City.  From there we caught the 12:30 water taxi to San Pedro.  San Pedro is a larger city that is located on the island of Ambergris Caye.

We stayed here for 2 nights.

This town is known for the number of golf carts.  Only Taxi's and work trucks are allowed on the island.

We ended up having lunch at the Palapa Bar that is over the water.  They will lower you beers on a rope and you can sit on
the inner tubes.

We stayed at the Spindrift Hotel.  The location was nice and it was inexpensive.

The hotel has a lovely little courtyard on the main level

There is also a beautiful sun deck on the second floor, which was just steps from our rooms.

We finished off the night at Caliente, which is the restaurant right below our hotel.  Fish Fajitas is what Eric ordered.
